Virtual try-on for the clothes you own
Most virtual try-on tools work for one shop's products. Thraed works with your own wardrobe: pick the pieces, and AI shows a photo of you wearing them.
How it works
Add one full-body photo of yourself. Then scan your clothes with your phone camera; Thraed can cut each piece out and files it by type, colour and season.
To try on a look, pick the pieces in Build (swipe tops, bottoms and shoes) or Select (choose up to four), or use Inspire to photograph an outfit you saw. Thraed's AI generates an image of you wearing it.
What it is good for
Deciding between two outfits in the morning without changing twice.
Testing a combination you have never worn, like a new jacket with old trousers.
Checking whether an outfit you saw on someone else would work on you, before you buy anything.
What to expect
The result is an AI image, not a mirror. It gives a good sense of colours, proportions and how pieces work together, but fit and fabric drape are approximations. Treat it as a quick preview, not a tailor's fitting.
Price
Thraed is free to download and includes 5 AI try-ons. Pro costs $6.99 a month and includes 30 try-ons a month; try-on credit packs are also available without a subscription.
Questions
Is there a free virtual try-on app for clothes?
Thraed is free to download and includes 5 AI try-ons, plus 20 wardrobe scans a month. After that you can buy a credit pack or subscribe.
Can I try on clothes I already own?
Yes. That is what Thraed is built for: scan your wardrobe once, then try on any combination of your own pieces.
What photo do I need?
A clear, full-body photo of yourself, standing, in good light. The try-on is generated from that photo.
Does it work on Android?
Not yet. Thraed is available for iPhone and iPad.
