Questions

How do I know which colors go together?

Start with neutrals: black, white, grey, navy, beige and camel go with nearly everything. Then add one colour at a time. Colours next to each other on the colour wheel (such as navy and teal) look calm; opposite colours (such as navy and rust) look bold.

How many colors should one outfit have?

Two or three is easy to manage. Count neutrals as half a colour. A navy coat, grey trousers and a burgundy scarf is three colours and looks planned.

Does skin tone matter?

Yes, mostly near your face. Warm skin tends to suit olive, camel, rust and cream. Cool skin tends to suit navy, grey, plum and pure white. Wear any colour away from your face, such as trousers or shoes, if it does not suit you.
